When I was in the third grade, I received my first iPod Nano as a present for Christmas—it was a glorious hot pink color and it meant the world to me. Through this technological device, I was immersed in the world of music. My love for music only grew with the iPod Nano as it allowed me to have access to listen to any song whenever and wherever I wanted. I was never musically gifted as a child as I’ve failed learning how to play the piano on four separate occasions in my life. But I wanted to create a music blog called Angela’s Rhythmic Adventures to share my love for listening and discovering new music with others. I want my readers to fall in love with music the way I did through an entertaining medium. Through this music blog, I’ll be sharing all things related to music, whether they are opinion-based pieces such as album/song reviews or carefully curated song playlists.
The purpose of this blog is purely for simple entertainment and to have others discover new music along with me. The audience I will be targeting will be for young adults ranging from the age of 15-25. Although I may be targeting a younger audience, I think my blog is for all ages. I believe myself to be qualified to create this type of website because I’ve worked in a group blog before for a creative writing class that I took previously. It was an Introduction to Multimedia Composition course so I’m overall familiar with what it takes to create a music blog. Some of the goals I have for the blog include: increasing mass readership, maintaining a consistent theme throughout all my blog posts, and learning something new about the process of creating a blogging website independently.
